Miss Bindergarten puts the finishing touches on the room just in time, and the students arrive. Now the fun can begin!

7.  Adventure Annie Goes To Kindergarten

From the author of the 2013 Caldecott Honor Book, ONE COOL FRIEND!

Annie Grace wears her "Adventure Annie" cape to her first day of kindergarten, and proceeds to barrel through the day, searching for adventure in every moment. Her interpretation of the class's Gold Star Rules isn't exactly what her teacher, Mr. Todd, had in mind. But somehow Annie does manage to save the day when two of her classmates get lost on their way to retrieve the afternoon snack. Spirited and funny, this is an introduction to kindergarten that will please kids and teachers alike.

It's just ten days before kindergarten, and this little girl has heard all there is to know--from a first grader--about what it's going to be like. You can't bring your cat, you can't bring a stuffed animal, and the number one rule? You can't ask anyone for help. Ever. So what do you do when your shoes come untied, if you're the only one in the class who doesn't know how to tie them up again?
Told with gentle humor by Alison McGhee and brought to exuberant life by New Yorker cartoonist Harry Bliss, this lighthearted take on pre-kindergarten anxiety will bring a smile to the face of every child--and parent--having first-day jitters.

The first day of kindergarten is finally here, and Henry can't wait to paint pictures, sing songs, and practice counting. When he gets to school, though, he's not so sure he's ready for kindergarten. This gently humorous, encouraging story will give children about to enter kindergarten an extra boost of confidence.

10.  Clifford Goes to Kindergarten

Join Clifford in this brand-new storybook as he spends the day with Emily Elizabeth in kindergarten!

Emily Elizabeth is starting Kindergarten and she's a little nervous. Good thing that the teacher sent a note home that says each child can bring something from home to make the transition a little easier. But the teacher didn't bet on a child bringing something--or someone--as big as Clifford!

11.  Jumping Into Kindergaraten

Starting kindergarten represents a major milestone in the lives of young children (and their parents!). It is an important step into the unknown that while exciting can also be the cause of nervous anticipation for everyone involved. The good news is that it doesn't have to be scary!

Today's technology-driven world is complex and changing rapidly. As it does, the expectations of what our children need to know when they enter kindergarten have changed as well. There is growing anxiety around how to define and instill a new and improved set of school-readiness skills that will best help them to succeed.
In this fun, creative story from bestselling authors Julia Cook and Laura A. Jana, parents and educators can more clearly understand the important connection that exists between everyday behaviors and the foundational development of valuable, 21st century life-skills during early childhood. This book also includes creative, practical tips to implement these skills in the home and classroom.
Follow Roo as he figures out how to use and apply his amazing "QI" (pronounced key) skills: ME, WE, WHY, WILL, WIGGLE, WOBBLE, and WHAT IF. I love to move around and explore, so my favorite skill is WIGGLE. I can jump into things, and reach for the stars. And bend and stretch and jiggle! With his backpack of "super cool" skills and a head full of questions, Roo is excited to jump into kindergarten, and your children will be too!

Although some of the things her older sister taught her at home seem a little unusual at school, other lessons help make Annabelle's first day in kindergarten a success

It's a child's first day of kindergarten, but who is worried about all the new people and the different things he'll meet--the child? No! The mother. In a refreshing reversal of roles, the child takes it upon himself to comfort and reassure his mother that everything will be fine, she'll get used to him going to big-kid school, and yes, he is ready for the first day of kindergarten. Utterly charming in its simplicity, Yum playfully uses size and color to reveal emotions of this milestone beginning.

Even those who wait at home are eager to hear all about kindergarten.
The animals in the barn are in a tizzy: Tommy is missing! The dog says Tommy is gone to a place called kindergarten. "Where is kindergarten?" they exclaim. "What will happen to Tommy there? Will he ever come back?!" Eventually Tommy bursts into the barn with tales of the fun he had and all he learned. A charming and tender story that's sure to reassure any child heading to kindergarten.

Celebrate milestones with a new?or soon to be? kindergartner.
When you were newborn, you ate, burped and cried. Every year there is more you can do. And now you are five, and going to kindergarten! For anyone who is proud of a new kindergartner, here is a heartwarming book to treasure, celebrate, and take note of all these amazing accomplishments that have taken place over the past five years.

Award-winning author Tony Johnston and illustrator Melissa Sweet create a joyful story about the first day of kindergarten!

"I'm off to kindergarten now.
I'd better take my bear.
He likes to sit beside me so
I'll take a little chair. . . ."

So begins the long list of things Bill absolutely needs for his first day of school. Along with his pillow and some cookies, he also plans on bringing his sandbox, some digging moles, and a moving truck!

A touching story of first-day jitters and hopes, Tony Johnston's rhyming text is paired with Melissa Sweet's delightful illustrations!

It's the first day of kindergarten, and little hedgehog Spike is afraid to ride the BIG BUS to school all alone. He needs a buddy to make the ride a bit less scary. But no one wants to sit next to Spike's sharp quills on the bumpy bus ride. Will he every find someone to share his seat?

18.  Miss Bindergarten Has a Wild Day in Kindergarten

Things are always a little rowdy in a class of twenty-six kindergartners, but there are some days when chaos reigns. Watch what happens in Miss Bindergarten's rambunctious class when water overflows, ants are on the loose, and oozy paint smudges. How will Miss Bindergarten and the kindergartners get everything back in order? This is one kindergarten adventure not to be missed!

Today is the last day of kindergarten. I wish it were the FIRST. Then I’d meet Mrs. Popinski all over again. A little girl is sad that kindergarten is coming to an end. She wishes it were the first day again, when everything was exciting and new and there was such a fun year ahead. But then she realizes that graduating is exciting, too, and maybe first grade won’t be so bad, after all! Bright mixed-media artwork is a perfect complement to the text.

20.  Miss Bindergarten Celebrates the Last Day of Kindergarten

Miss Bindergarten and her class have had a great year in kindergarten! They have gone on a field trip, marked the 100th day, created a circus, and even survived a wild day. But now the school year is over, and it?s time to remember, to celebrate, and for Miss Bindergarten to say, ?Good-bye, kindergarten. It?s been a special year.? The bestselling Miss Bindergarten series comes to a sweet and jubilant conclusion by honoring an important passage: the last day of kindergarten. Filled with last-day classroom ideas, it?s also a perfect gift to honor graduation and moving-up ceremonies. Miss Bindergarten Celebrates the Last Day of Kindergarten is the perfect way for teachers and students to commemorate their own end-of-the-year festivities.
